     STEP 3: Assessing Your Technical Needs

The Immunization Registry is a secure web-based system. We hope that the information listed below will be helpful to you and your computer support staff in assessing your technical needs to the registry. Please identify a technical lead or contact person at your work, and submit the contact information for that person on the Account Application (Step 2).

Technical Requirements:

  Internet access (web browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 and above)
  Optimal compatibility through PC
  Printer connection to print immunization history and recommendation reports
  Click to download Adobe Acrobat Reader Download Adobe Acrobat® Reader 7.0 or above
    - Adobe Acrobat Reader is necessary to print out the Certificate of Immunization (CIS Form)
  Click to download Macromedia Flash Player Download Macromedia Flash Player
    - Macromedia Flash Player software is required to view the Training Video in Step 4. If you experience problems viewing the video, make sure you have the latest version of Macromedia Flash Player. (In addition, you can print out a hard copy of the training.)
     
CAUTION
  This registry system was developed and tested on PCs using Internet Explorer as the default web browser.
  The registry has limited compatibility with other browsers such as Safari and Firefox.
    CHILD Profile staff, especially Help Desk staff, have limited ability to assist users if they have problems with browsers other than Internet Explorer. You can add Internet Explorer as an additional web browser for accessing the Registry.
  Mac users may also experience difficulty using the registry because the system was
    developed and tested with PCs.
     
Other considerations
  Ability to temporarily allow cookies and java scripting
  Ability to temporarily disable pop-up blockers
  We recommend disabling auto fill and request, for security reasons, that users
    not have Windows save their passwords when prompted
