the American Academy of Family Physicians.
- Kidshealth
(www.kidshealth.org) - Provides information on a wide range of child
health topics such as: growth and development, nutrition, physical activity,
pregnancy and newborns, positive parenting and oral health. The information
is divided into three sections designed specifically for parents, kids
and teens.
- Washington's
Tobacco Quit Line (www.quitline.com) - A resource for individuals
who want help becoming tobacco-free.
- WithinReach
(www.withinreachwa.org) - The Family Health Hotline, a program of WithinReach,
helps families in Washington to access information they need, from pre-pregnancy
planning through childhood. 1-800 operators are available Monday - Friday.

Health Transition Project (depts.washington.edu/healthtr) The Adolescent
Health Transition Project is designed to help smooth the transition
from pediatric to adult health care for adolescents with special health
care needs. This site is a resource for information, materials, and
links to other people with an interest in health transition issues.

who advocate and care for children with special health care needs.
- Starting Point Resource Guide (www.cshcn.org/resources/guides.cfm?intro=yes) - guide to resources in Washington State for children with special health care needs. It includes information on getting legal help, child care and respite, health insurance, medical supplies and equipment, school, transportation and more. Each resource includes phone numbers, email, websites, and a list of services.

families raising children with special health care needs and developmental

Children is a national non-profit dedicated to advancing the interests
of families and young children. Parents' Action provides parent education
information and videos, stories from other parents and tools to fight
for issues such as early education, health care and high quality and
affordable child care.
- Program for Early Parent Support
(PEPS) (www.pepsgroup.org) - PEPS is a non-profit organization serving
parents of children birth to age 3 in the King County area through weekly
support groups.

The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) culled material about immunization
registries from professional journals and government publications and
used it to develop a new web page, "Immunization Registries."
- IIS - Immunization Information Systems (Immunization Registries) (www.cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/iis/default.htm) - The Centers
